| been quite some time since i've updated here...thought maybe i should at least update what's been going on? pictures from the past year or so since my last post can be found at www.flickr.com/n3lau. lots of pictures to be had from CFW, events, summer time...just everything. facebook has now become the ideal place to really let people know about what's been going on. most people are already on there.
my time at the U of I is coming to a close. kind of a bittersweet feeling. don't know exactly how to feel really....just kind of finishing up. don't know what's going on after graduation, looking for a job, hopefully finding something, whether temporary or full time. friends have come (getting to meet two years of freshmen classes, great and funny kids) and gone (losing friends to graduation, general issues, fading relationships that just don't last). the latter gets to be sad, knowing that you might have been able to do something...but nothing can really be done now.
greatest accomplishment of this past summer, had some fun being able to get my hands dirty and fixing stuff.
that's my baby. dunno what's going to happen to her, whether fix her up even more or sell her as a project. we'll see how time permits and how finances work. i guess not much to really update on. ran a half marathon last year (2008) and finished in my best time of 1:48:19. don't plan on running anything real soon but there may be races soon that i may consider. time to get back in shape! for the first time in my college career, the intramural soccer team i play on, i'm going to the playoffs! so excited. get to really bust some shins. lol.
there's been too much stuff to really update on something...but i may have to update this more frequently that normal. doesn't seem that many people really read this anymore. blogspot, livejournal, or other blogging sites have taken over. peace out until then.

| it was a wonderful summer. full of rain, running, sunny days, soda, and friends. lots of new friends and better friendships. got re-acquainted. played guitar a lot. learned new things. discovered new things. obviously, i'm different than the beginning of the summer. not many pictures to show what happened, only memories. actually working now a few days here and there. temp jobs. thank goodness for temp agencies. had a cupcake decorating party the other day. it was definitely fun. we decorated a cupcake for another person and in lieu of the olympics, i drew this.

not too bad if i do say so myself. fun times. hopefully this year will be a good one. honestly, it'll be challenging one. but looking forward to it.
running ridiculous miles of pavement lately due to half marathon training. never ran so much consistently. legs are sore, back is sore, everything is getting sore. hopefully i can be diligent in other things as i am with my running.
new loves, new hates. i've thought about what makes me happy, sad, ticked off, frustrated, laugh, the works. hopefully i'll get to know myself better through the year. hopefully i'll graduated when i expect to. that's what i don't like: when the unexpected happens. but i guess that's what is expected. His plan takes precedent over ours. the unexpected is expected.
| wow. it's already a year. this time last year, i was glad to know i was coming back here. glad that i got in, glad i was going back to the university. glad that i've made it through a school year. a school year has passed. a year. has passed. seniors. are graduating. year of '08. it's quite the weird feeling thinking that this was my expected graduation date. next year it'll be even more weird.
soon it'll be my turn. soon enough. for now, gotta get through these finals.
glad to be in the company of friends. things have changed in the past year. change is inevitable. good and bad.
it'll be an interesting summer. and next school year. press on. press on. gotta press on. the things i look forward to keep me going. good music, good company, sunny days. God's faithfulness and love to me as i fail time and time again.
His love endures forever. His love endures forever. "Praise the One, risen Son of God
